Experiential learning is the key to a Blackbird Academy education. We place great emphasis on practical hands-on testing, participation, attendance and attitude. Students are required to write several research papers during their stay at the Academy, and there is regular hands-on testing covering practical abilities, signal flow, best practices, general knowledge, and other topics covered in the curriculum. Students will be tested on the results of assigned research papers, practical testing at mid-term, and at the end of the program. A diploma is achieved by maintaining a C average (2.0 GPA), missing no more than 10% of the classes during the program, and honoring all pre-arranged financial commitments.
Students who excel, achieving a 4.0 and maintain 95% attendance qualify for The Blackbird Academy’s highest achievement, The Platinum Level Award (PLA)
