The Blackbird Academy is a microcosm of the audio recording industry, and networking with other students, teaching staff and guest lecturers begins immediately upon enrolling in the Academy.

During a student’s stay at the Academy, students will be exposed to many expert panels, mentoring sessions both live and online, remote interviews and other resources designed to help students get a head start on their careers.

While students may hold jobs to help support themselves while they’re in the program, the focus once they leave should be on finding a promising job in audio. The Director of Student Operations can help students make contact at many studios, live sound companies, manufacturers and more, where students may interview once they leave the program. To qualify, you must have met the course’s graduation prerequisites, and honored all predetermined financial arrangements.

The Blackbird Academy is authorized for operation as a Post-Secondary Educational Institution by the Tennessee Higher Education Commission.
