Cole Bingham

Producer, Engineer, and Mixer Cole Bingham came to The Blackbird Academy ready to level up — and left ready for the world stage.

Shortly after graduating, Cole landed a position at Henson Recording Studios (now named Chaplin Recording Studios) in Los Angeles, where he’s worked sessions with artists including John Mayer, Lady Gaga, Annika Bennett, and more.

Here’s what Cole had to say about his experience:

“Hands down, there’s no better school than The Blackbird Academy. I can confidently say that after graduating from another one of the so-called top music schools on the East Coast.

Blackbird doesn’t waste time — they teach you exactly what you need to know to become a successful audio engineer, all while immersing you in the heart of Nashville. The program prepared me so well that, right after graduation, I was able to land a position at one of the top recording studios in the world: Henson Recording Studios in Los Angeles.

Working there gave me the opportunity to be part of sessions with artists like John Mayer, Annika Bennett, Lady Gaga, and many more. I credit Blackbird’s education, mentorship, and connections directly for that success.

My only regret is not attending sooner — I’d do the program again in a heartbeat.”
