The 2019-2020 awards season may be long over, but BBA Studio Engineering grad Ciel Eckard-Lee must still be basking in the glow. As a mixing/mastering engineer at Facebook, Ciel was part of the team that won an Emmy, and he also received several Grammy nods for his other work.
“I’m a music producer and mixing/mastering engineer at Facebook, working on the Music Production team within the Facebook Sound + Design side,” said Ciel.
“The Emmy win was for our [Facebook] team’s contribution to the ‘Wolves in the Walls’ won for outstanding innovation in interactive media.
“This past year, I also worked on the album ‘Front Porch’ by Joy Williams (nominated for Best Folk Album) as an assistant mix engineer, and as an engineer on the album, ‘I Used To Know Her’ by H.E.R. Other artists I’ve worked with include Switchfoot and Mike Floss.
“The H.E.R. album received a Grammy nomination for Album of the Year, and songs off it were nominated for Song and Record of the Year.”
Wow! Way to go, Ciel!!
