We love keeping up with our artist alumni, and Foster McGinty is certainly one to watch!
Foster graduated in the Fall 2020 Studio Engineering class and has been releasing music since 2009. He has recently released monthly singles in 2021, including “Don’t Come Easy,” which was originally tracked by Blackbird students in 2017. He additionally shared his talents with students in March 2021 as a guest artist for an Edison wax cylinder recording of his song “Keep It In High Gear.”
Currently, Foster is based out of Nashville and operates Mud Pan, a single-room recording studio intended for indie artists. He describes his 2021 projects as “psych pop” and “jangle rock,” and we can’t wait to see what’s on the horizon for him! Follow him on Instagram and Facebook, and check out his full discography on Spotify.
Studio Engineering students learn in a 5:1 student to instructor ratio and spend 700+ hours in the studio before graduation! To join the program, apply now.
