Nashville is the capital of Tennessee and the county seat of Davidson County. It is located on the Cumberland River in the north-central part of the state and, not including the semi-independent municipalities surrounding it, has a population of more than 600,000 people.

The urban area is a thriving, modern metropolis and a center for the health care, publishing, banking and transportation industries, and is home to a large number of colleges and universities, including Vanderbilt and Belmont University.

Nashville offers affordable housing and a robust night life with many entertainment venues, night clubs and an assortment of restaurants. Nashville  enjoys all four seasons,  with generally cool to moderately cold winters, and hot,
