Jerry Ford

Jerry Ford is an audio engineer and musician. He started writing songs and performing live at age 13 and has participated in punk, pop-punk, prog-punk, psychedelic rock, reggae-alt rock, and indie folk bands. In 2019, he attended The Blackbird Academy Studio Program and interned at Blackbird Studio shortly after. In 2022, a position for Lab Assistant/Rehearsal Engineer opened up at The Blackbird Academy Live School. Timing, luck, and preparation aligned, allowing him to coordinate and handle rehearsals for bands ranging from those just starting out to major artists. Along the way, he received mentorship from BBA instructors, including Rich Flora and Ernie Gonzales, to name a few. The “pinch me, I’m dreaming” moment occurred when he monitor-engineered for Dann Huff, Jay DeMarcus, Paul Franklin, Charles Kelley, Gordon Mote, Tom Bukovac, and others, all during one rehearsal. In 2026, he continues his passion for and exploration of audio as an instructor at the Academy.
