The student became the teacher!
Fall 2014 alum Preston White returned to The Blackbird Academy to share his expertise. During his visit, Preston walked through the process of how mics are built and discussed his love of gear. His company, PTW Audio, repairs vintage mics and even builds custom mics for his clients! While at Blackbird, Preston studied within the Studio Engineering program, won the “Top Mixer” award alongside his Nashville AES competition team, even graduated as the Platinum Award winner (valedictorian) of his class.
